Nesma and Matt’s Art Institute wedding beautifully proved that even unexpected weather can’t dampen true celebration. Originally planned for the serene Pritzker Garden, their ceremony was gracefully relocated to the Modern Wing when thunderstorms rolled in, where dramatic white columns and carefully draped fabric created an intimate backdrop. The couple’s classic elegance shone through every detail—from burgundy and cream florals lining the aisle to the bride’s stunning strapless ballgown with intricate beadwork. As evening arrived, the celebration moved to the iconic McKinlock Court, where guests danced beneath the open sky surrounding the historic fountain. The architectural grandeur of soaring arches and ambient lighting transformed the space into something magical, while groomsmen in suspenders and bow ties kept the energy high on the dance floor. This wedding perfectly captured what makes the Art Institute such a coveted Chicago venue: the seamless blend of classical architecture, modern sophistication, and the flexibility to create unforgettable moments no matter what nature has planned.
